Abstract
This case study emphasizes the picking up of language and the exposure of audio-visuals at home on children's speaking ability in English as a foreign language. The subjects of this research are two children living in Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia. The first child, Harry, is about ten years old, the second, Willia, is about 15, and they are siblings. This study aims to analyse the exposure of audio-visuals in learning English as a foreign language. The data are the subjects' daily learning activities, experiences, and speaking performances and are collected through observation, interviews, and recordings. The Discourse Analysis Method was used in this research. The results show that audio-visual materials like YouTube, TV shows, movies, and cartoons remarkably improve children's vocabulary and speaking abilities in EFL nations. They are the only resources that provide pupils with a true taste of English society's language, ambiance, and culture, allowing them to learn vocabulary and become fluent speakers even without formal instruction. By exposing the kids to this bundle of screen material from an early age, this competency may be attained.
