Abstract
Lecturers' beliefs about multimedia learning can influence how they present ELT materials and interact with students. The aim of this study is to explore lecturers' beliefs about multimedia learning on ELT at the University. This study employs a quantitative method with a cross-sectional survey design and involved nine lecturers, consisting of six men and three women from English education departments at various universities throughout Indonesia. Twenty-three questionnaire items were constructed and distributed online. The data collection process lasted eight days, from June 26th 2023 to July 3rd 2023. The responses were graded using the Likert scale. The quantitative data were examined using descriptive statistics to determine the frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. SPSS version 26 was used to conduct the analysis. The results show that Lecturers' beliefs in multimedia learning in English language teaching have excellent potential to improve students' learning experiences. Some see it as a valuable tool to enhance engagement and understanding, while others may be more difficult. Lecturers also believe multimedia teaching English improves language skills and increases student motivation and involvement in learning. However, some challenges must be faced to achieve optimal English learning outcomes.
